What Are Affirmations and How Do They Work?
Affirmations are simple, positive statements that you can repeat to yourself to challenge and overcome negative thoughts. It might sound a little out there, but there’s science to back it up!
Studies have shown that using positive affirmations can activate the reward centers in your brain, reduce stress, and even improve your overall mental health. By repeating affirmations regularly, you can help rewire your brain to think more positively.

How I Use Affirmations
I use affirmations every day, and they’re a key part of my routine. I start my morning with a few positive statements to set a good tone for the day ahead. During my yoga practice, I integrate affirmations to deepen my mindfulness and stay connected to my intentions. And whenever I feel stressed, anxious, or need a little boost of happiness, I turn to my affirmations to help shift my mindset.
Here are a few of my favourites:
“All is well, and I am safe.”
This simple statement brings me a sense of peace and reassurance, especially when life feels overwhelming.
“I am exactly where I’m meant to be right now.”
This one helps me stay present and trust the journey, even when things don’t go as planned.
“I am excited about all that is coming my way.”
I love this affirmation because it fills me with a sense of anticipation and positivity about the future.
“I am grateful for all I have.”
Practicing gratitude through this affirmation helps me stay grounded and appreciate the abundance already in my life.
As well as these go-to phrases, I love crafting affirmations tailored to specific events or situations in my life to encourage a positive outcome. It’s pure magic, baby! ✨
