Laughter Yoga on TV!
At Happy Yoga Wales, our aim is simple: to share all things yoga and happiness to enhance people’s overall well-being.
So, when the opportunity arose to showcase the transformative power of laughter yoga on “Ricky, Sue and a Trip of Two,” I knew it was the perfect platform to spread joy.
Ricky Thomlinson and Sue Johnson, known for their infectious laughter, needed little encouragement to dive into the laughter yoga session. However, what amazed them was how good they felt afterward.
Laughter yoga isn’t just about the giggles; it includes deep breathing and relaxation, leaving participants feeling invigorated and refreshed.

Exhilarated, relaxed & happy!
As we set up on the beach in sunny Llandudno, the skies opened, and we relocated to the comfort of the St George’s Hotel. Despite the impromptu change – and my disheveled hair after rescuing the yoga mats in the downpour! – our enthusiasm for laughter yoga only grew, proving a little Welsh weather is all part of the adventure!
With Ricky, Sue, and the ever-enthusiastic Colin Jackson, we delved into a face-achingly brilliant session, experiencing the benefits of laughter yoga first-hand.
After our session, Ricky Thomlinson chuckled, “I really enjoyed that yoga class. To see everyone joining in and having a laugh, it was great!”
Sue Johnson told me she’d “had a ball” adding, “I feel exhilarated! It’s such a release to go ha-ha-ha!”
Later that day, Colin Jackson reflected, “Looking into people’s eyes, shaking their hand and laughing. What a great way to start the day!”
Behind the scenes, I was a bit nervous about leading such big personalities through laughter yoga in front of a TV crew and cameras.
Thankfully, I had the unwavering support of my laughter-loving friends who joined in with the session along with my mum who got on with Ricky & Sue like a house on fire!
As the rain continued outside, we laughed, connected, and embraced the power of laughter.
Our time on “Ricky, Sue and a Trip of Two” wasn’t just about making TV magic; it was about spreading a message of wellness and joy, true to the spirit of Happy Yoga Wales.
In a world often filled with stress and uncertainty, let’s remember the gift of laughter – a gift that transcends age, background, and circumstance.
So, here’s to sharing laughter, embracing wellness, and spreading joy, just as we do at Happy Yoga Wales.
